Tony Calabrese - President and CEO

Tony Calabrese has ten years experience as a real estate investor and manager of retail, office, residential and mixed-use properties across the United States. Prior to joining HLP, Mr. Calabrese served as Assistant Vice President responsible for east coast acquisitions for Rockwood Capital - a real estate private equity fund - from 2005 through 2011. Through his term, Tony was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, and closing of over $1.2 billion in acquisitions. Before joining Rockwood Capital's acquisition team, he was part of Rockwood's asset management platform, specializing in loan workouts and the management of over two million square feet of east coast assets. Mr Calabrese began his real estate career as an analyst for JohnAnthony Group where he focused on the acquisition and management of investment properties throughout the NY-NJ-CT tristate area.  

Tony's education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Seton Hall University; and Masters Degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University. Between his undergraduate studies at SHU and post graduate studies at NYU, Tony was a professional baseball player within the New York Yankees and New York Mets organizations.
