James Calabrese - Chairman and Founding Partner 

James Calabrese has over forty years of experience as a real estate investor. Mr. Calabrese continues to prove his expertise in the identification, evaluation, and analysis of complex real estate opportunities. As the founding member of HLP, he has been behind the development, management, and operations of retail, residential, and office properties throughout the United States. Upon entering the real estate business, Mr. Calabrese was a founding partner in the John Anthony Group, a real estate brokerage and investment firm based in Greenwich, CT. He has participated in the ownership interests of over 1 million square feet of real estate assets and contributed to the disposition of over 1,000 commercial buildings over his untarnished career. James Calabrese graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics; received an honorable discharge from the United States Army after serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Calabrese has two grown children and resides in Greenwich, CT with his wife of 35 years.
