Hendrie Lane Capital is a privately held real estate investment firm focused on research and development, advanced manufacturing and healthcare properties in the markets where American innovation and industry are concentrated with a strategic focus on greater Boston, the New York Tri-State Region, greater Washington, DC, the San Francisco Bay Area and North Carolina’s Research Triangle.

We invest where ideas, talent and capital meet. Our thesis is that technology, healthcare, life sciences, infrastructure and defense are reshaping where companies locate and what they need from their real estate, and that the specialized facilities these industries depend on are in short supply and increasingly difficult to replace. We acquire well-located, well-built properties leased to established tenants, often at a meaningful discount to replacement cost, and manage them for durable income and long-term growth.

Founded by James Calabrese, Hendrie Lane is now led by Tony Calabrese, who joined the firm after a long career as a senior executive in institutional real estate where he developed the thesis that guides the firm today. Hendrie Lane has a four-decade track record of investment in office, medical office, research and development, life science, retail and multifamily assets in New York City, the Tri-State Region, greater Boston, greater Washington, DC, the San Francisco Bay Area, Florida and the Southeast. That experience across asset classes and cycles informs a disciplined approach to the sectors we now pursue
